about the founder Letty Donarski
I was born in Lorain, Ohio. I am the third child of six. Lorain was a small town that promised a better life and financial opportunities for many that came from the island of Puerto Rico. Ford Motor Company and US Steel were the two major companies that many of my family members worked at. My dad worked for Ford and my mom was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom.
Most of my family members went to the same church. Some of the baby boomers had growing pains, we couldn’t deal with the doctrines the church taught, and we rebelled against them.
I ran away from home at a very young age, like many others from that time. I endured many hardships as I struggled to understand who God wanted me to be. These hardships are what shaped the woman I am today.
I became pregnant at the age of 16 and had a miscarriage. Then, at age 19, I had Damian Jr, who has since blessed me with 3 grandchildren; Trae, Anthony, and Hailey. After Damian I had twins Israel and Jose, whom my mom named Israel because he’s the one that survived. They were twins, who fought for their lives. Jose only lived for 28 days, and Israel went to be with the Lord at the age of 21 from a car accident. He had one child, Tommy. Lastly came Vivian, the youngest and my only girl. She has two children, Julian and Jaden.
I thank God for the beautiful family He has blessed me with. I cannot say I adore my grandchildren because God is the only one, I can adore. But my grandchildren are very special to me. All of them are special in their own way. I pray that they will all fulfill their purpose while here on earth.
God is not done writing my story. I have been a hairstylist for 36 years, and most of my ministry has been behind the chair, with women, praying, counseling, and sometimes just listening. My heart is to continue to provide a platform where woman can be a support to other woman and grow in their God given purpose.
